finally

I finally decided it was time to update my kitchen after finding a few things on pinterest.  one of them was a blog on this site :)  It definitely made me feel like I could do it, and guess what?  I did!

this is my kitchen before

I started with two coats or primer, followed by three coats of paint.  

I chose the paint color "fleecy" from Valspar's premium at Lowe's

then I glazed where I wanted it to look "distressed"

and waited and waited for that to dry, then it was time for two 

coats of polycrylic to protect it.  and ta~da, the cabinets were done!

                                I found all the hardware online at a much better price than Lowe's

                                                              still waiting on our brick 
                                                      (for the blue wall behind the stove)
                                                         to come in that we had to order.

I am definitely happy with the way they turned out!
